Biography

Crystal was born in the Doctor's Hospital in Manhattan and grew up in Long Beach, New York, the son of Helen (née Gabler), a housewife, and Jack Crystal, a record company executive and producer of jazz records, who owned and operated the Commodore Record store. Manhattan Island, in New York Harbor, is much the largest part of the Borough of Manhattan, one of the Five Boroughs which form the City of New York Long Beach is a city in Nassau County, New York on a Barrier island off the South Shore of Long Island and one of only Jazz is an American Musical art form which originated in the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States [2][3] His uncle was musician and songwriter Milt Gabler, and his brother, Richard Crystal, is a television producer.
