The roots of Big Beat emerged from 1960's English 'studio sound' that employed some of the best musicians ever known. One such musician, drummer Dougie Wright, is often credited with tracking some of popular music's most influential and often-sampled drum tracks. Later, obviously inspired by Dougie Wright and others of the true big beat era, musicians began to recreate and expand upon the pioneering work of this 60's British studio sound.
