Beyeda is one of the 105 woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Woreda (also spelled wereda) is an Administrative division of Ethiopia (managed by a local government equivalent to a District. The highest peak in Beyeda is also the highest peak in Ethiopia: Mount Ras Dashan. Ras Dashen (alternatively Ras Dashan or Ras Dejen Ge'ez ራስ ደጀን rās dejen, Amh It is a member of the Semien Mountains, which cover most of this woreda. The Semien Mountains lie in northern Ethiopia, north east of Gondar.
