Bayi Football Team (Simplified Chinese: 八一足球队) was a football team under the sport branch of the People's Liberation Army (Simplified Chinese: 中国人民解放军) in China between 1951 and 2003. The People's Liberation Army ( PLA) ( is the unified Military organization of all land sea and air forces of the People's Republic of China. The Club's full name is The People's Liberation Army Bayi Football Club (Simplified Chinese: 中国人民解放军八一足球俱乐部). The team was based in Beijing.

The Name of Bayi (八一) means that Ba (八) is for eight and Yi (一) is for one.
