Bar/None Records is an independent record label based out of Hoboken, New Jersey. An independent record label (or indie record label) is a Record label operating without the funding of or outside the organizations of the Major record labels Hoboken is a city in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States.

The label was founded by Tom Prendergast in early 1986 as a logical progression from Pier Platters, an indie record shop in Hoboken.
