The Badminton Oceania (BOC) is the governing body of badminton in Oceania. A sport governing body is a sports organization that has a regulatory or sanctioning function Badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles or two opposing pairs (doubles who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court It is one of the 5 continental bodies under the flag of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The Badminton World Federation ( BWF) is the international governing body for the Sport of Badminton. It now has 8 member countries after Tuvalu became the latest country to join BWF. Tuvalu, formerly known as the Ellice Islands, is a Polynesian Island nation located in the Pacific Ocean midway between Hawaii and [1]

On the occasion of launching the new logo by Badminton Oceania, the organisation decided to change the name from Oceania Badminton Confederation to Badminton Oceania. [2]
