Synopsis

Symphony Angel ejects from her damaged aircraft over a desert before the Mysterons themselves arrive on Earth to launch a devastating assault on Cloudbase. A desert is a Landscape or region that receives very little precipitation. The Mysterons are a fictional race of Extraterrestrials which appear in the British Science fiction Supermarionation Television series' EARTH was a short-lived Japanese vocal trio which released 6 singles and 1 album between 2000 and 2001 For the cloud structure see Cloud base. Plot

While on aerial patrol, Symphony Angel is forced to eject from her fighter after the rear of the aircraft suddenly explodes. In Aircraft, an ejection seat is a system designed to rescue the pilot or other crew of an aircraft (usually military in an emergency She lands in a desert and passes out in the heat. A desert is a Landscape or region that receives very little precipitation. Meanwhile, the Mysterons warn that they will destroy Cloudbase. The Mysterons are a fictional race of Extraterrestrials which appear in the British Science fiction Supermarionation Television series' For the cloud structure see Cloud base. Cloudbase is the fictional skyborne headquarters of international security organisation Spectrum from

Destiny Angel is launched to search for Symphony, but is recalled by Colonel White in view of the threat against Cloudbase. Colonel White is a character in the 1960s Supermarionation Television series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. This sparks a fierce argument between White and Captain Blue, who is attracted to Symphony. Captain Blue (real name Adam Svenson is a character in the 1960s Supermarionation Television series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. However, White refuses to let his officer join the ground search.

That night, a large trace is detected on the Cloudbase radar. Radar is a system that uses electromagnetic waves to identify the range altitude direction or speed of both moving and fixed objects such as Aircraft, ships Rhapsody Angel is launched to investigate and is shocked to discover that it is a spinning Mysteron spacecraft, which destroys her jet in mid-air. A spacecraft is a Vehicle or machine designed for Spaceflight. When more hostile craft arrive, Captain Scarlet volunteers to replace Destiny Angel to challenge the enemy, but crash-lands on the Cloudbase flight deck after his interceptor is damaged. Captain Scarlet is the fictional main character in Gerry Anderson 's British Supermarionation Science fiction Television series The flight deck of an Aircraft carrier is the surface from which its Aircraft take off and land essentially a miniature airfield at sea As the Mysterons open fire on Cloudbase itself, it is discovered that Scarlet's retro-metabolic powers will not be enough to revert his injuries and that therefore the captain is permanently dead.

The Mysteron attack continues until eventually only White, Blue and Lieutenant Green remain alive. Lieutenant Green (real name Seymour Griffiths is the assistant of Colonel White in the Supermarionation Television series series Captain Scarlet As the stricken Cloudbase loses altitude, Green is killed by another explosion and Blue is injured. White, meanwhile, resolves to go down with his command.

Just as the sound of Cloudbase's destruction is heard, Symphony regains consciousness in the desert facing Scarlet and Blue. The events of the episode were all part of a delirious nightmare of Symphony's and never actually happened. A nightmare is a Dream which causes a strong unpleasant emotional response from the sleeper typically fear or horror being in situations of extreme danger or the sensations

Dr Fawn's assistant is played by the Captain Black puppet. Captain Black is the fictional nemesis of Captain Scarlet and recurring Mysteron agent in the 1960s British Supermarionation Science fiction The character does not speak, but shakes his head when Captain Blue asks whether Scarlet is permanently dead. Whether the assistant is a real character or an element of Symphony's nightmare is left unexplained.
In a sense, the Mysterons complete three of their previously failed threats: the destruction of Cloudbase ("Dangerous Rendezvous"), the death of a Spectrum Angel ("Seek and Destroy" - although more than one Angel is killed in this episode) and the death of Colonel White ("White as Snow").
