Associate may refer to:
- A business valuation concept. Business valuation is a process and a set of procedures used to estimate the economic value of an owner’s interest in a business
- A term used by some companies instead of employee. Employment is a Contract between two parties, one being the employer and the other being the employee.
- A term used to signify an independent (often self employed) person working as if directly employed by the company of which they are an associate. Self-employment is the individual pursuit of Capitalism. To be self-employed an individual is normally highly skilled in a trade or has a niche product or service Such a person may be an associate of more than one company.
- Associate Justice, a member of a judicial panel who is not the Chief Justice. In Law firms and Investment banks, an associate is a junior member Associate Justice or Associate Judge is the title for a member of a judicial panel who is not the Chief Justice.
- Judge's associate: an assistant to a Judge in an Australian Court (akin to a Judge's clerk in an American court).
- Associate's degree, a two-year educational degree. An associate degree is an Academic degree awarded by Community colleges Junior colleges four-year Universities, Business colleges
- Associate company, an accounting and business valuation concept. An associate company (or associate) in Accounting and Business valuation is a company in which another company owns a significant portion of voting shares
- Associate, a mathematical concept in ring theory.
- Associate, a person who has some dealings with another, possibly a friend. Often used for business partners. Business partner is a term used to denote a commercial entity with which another commercial entity has some form of alliance
