Archie then joined a Washington, DC-based consulting company, and led a user interface design project for McKesson, the largest pharmaceuticals distributor in the US. Archie and his family moved to the Richmond area and 2001 and, with the assistance of a former classmate from art school, co-founded an interactive agency. Working as the sole lead designer for more than three years, he created branding, pioneered multimedia for the web, and established a web presence for local museums. His clients included the Valentine Richmond History Center, Appomattox County, Virginia’s Retreat, VCU and the Christian Children’s Fund.
In 2004 he created a content management system for Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. Recently, Archie began teaching graduate-level web design courses at Virginia Commonwealth University and contracts freelance work with local agencies.
