Antimonides are compounds of antimony with more electropositive elements. A chemical compound is a substance consisting of two or more different elements chemically bonded together in a fixed proportion by Mass. Antimony (IPA (Received Pronunciation, /ˈæntɪmoʊni/ (US is a Chemical element with the symbol Sb (stibium meaning "mark" and Electropositivity is a measure of an element's ability to donate Electrons, and therefore form positive Ions. The antimonide ion is Sb3−. An ion is an Atom or Molecule which has lost or gained one or more Valence electrons giving it a positive or negative electrical charge
