Modern History

In 1963, gosam town of Yongin incorporated into Anseong. ^[1] At that time, Anseong was county. In 1983, 6 towns set apart from Anseong and attached as a district of Pyeongtak. ^[2] In 1998, Anseong county promoted to Anseong city.
