Andy C began his DJ career at raves in his native Essex at the age 14. A rave (or rave party) is a term in use since the 1980s to describe Dance Parties (often all-night events Essex is a county in the East of England. He is also an accomplished producer - working solo, with Ant Miles as Origin Unknown and also with both Ant Miles and Shimon as Ram Trilogy. Ram Trilogy is a Drum and bass DJ and producer trio Responsible for many drum'n'bass classics recorded throughout the '90s Ram Records (UK Between them, they have produced many enduring anthems such as "Titan", "No Reality" and "Valley of the Shadows", as well as a large number of remixes. "Valley of the Shadows" by Origin Unknown is a highly influential Drum and bass track from 1993 released on Ram Records. The 2002 Shimon & Andy C hit "Body Rock" also achieved the rare distinction of being a Drum and Bass record that entered the UK pop charts (reaching number 28 in the UK Singles Top 40 Chart on January 6th 2002).
