Andrew Wenthe is the Iowa State Representative from the 18th District. The Iowa House of Representatives is the Lower house of the Iowa General Assembly. Wenthe currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Agriculture committee; the Appropriations committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Transportation committee; and the Natural Resources committee. He also serves as vice-chair of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as a legislative assistant for State Senator Jeff Danielson and as legislative staff for Senator Chuck Grassley. Jeff Danielson (born August 6 1970 is the Iowa State Senator from the 10th District Charles Ernest "Chuck" Grassley (born September 17 1933) is the senior United States Senator from Iowa.
Wenthe was elected in 2006 with 6,160 votes, defeating Republican opponent David Lalk. [1]
