Andorran culture is Catalan in essence. It has given a significant and easily identifiable contribution to the conglomerate of Catalan culture.

Two writers renowned in Catalonia and the region, Michèle Gazier and Ramon Villeró, both come from Andorra.

Andorra is home to folk dances like the contrapàs and marratxa, which survive in Sant Julià de Lòria especially. Sant Julià de Lòria is one of the parishes of Andorra, in the far south of that country Andorran folk music has similarities to all of its neighbors, but is especially Catalan in character, especially in the presence of dances like the sardana. Catalunya (in Spain and France) has one of the oldest documented musical traditions in Europe and has had a rich musical culture continuously for at least two thousand The sardana (Catalan plural sardanes) is a type of Circle dance typical of Catalonia. Other Andorran folk dances include contrapàs in Andorra la Vella and Saint Anne's dance in Escaldes-Engordany. Andorra la Vella is the Capital of the Co-principality of Andorra, and is located high in the east Pyrenees between France and Escaldes-Engordany is one of the parishes of Andorra. The parish is composed of the villages Escaldes, Engordany, Vilars d'Engordany

Andorra's national holiday is Our Lady of Meritxell Day, September 8. The National Day is a designated date on which celebrations mark the Nationhood of a Nation or non-sovereign Country.
