With their debut release they took home the "Best New Artist" award in Germany in 1991. While Naghavi is still with the band, Ruiz left in 1992 (he would later return in 2001). Themes

The members of And One have firm convictions about war. This is evident in light of the release of the single, Aus Der Traum in 1991 with portions of the proceeds going to Greenpeace. In 2001 after the terrorists attacks against the United States on September the 11th, And One released the single Amerika Brennt (America Burns). An MP3 of this song was made available as a free download on the bands website. The bands home-page had also been changed to display a picture of a baby wrapped in an American flag. During the time immediately following the 9/11 terrorists attacks it was a common phenomenon for websites to display a patriotic American symbol as a gesture of solidarity.

The albums typically have similar sayings on the inside covers which begin with "Vielleicht ist es so".
