All Grown Up! follows the characters of the Rugrats nine years in the future. Rugrats is an American Animated television series that aired from August 11, 1991 to June 8, 2004 on Tommy, Dil, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Kimi, Angelica and Susie now have to deal with teen and pre-teen issues. [1]
The show premiered on April 12, 2003[2] as a preview before starting its regular run in late November 2003.
The show is based on the 2001 Rugrats television movie/pilot, All Growed Up, which proved popular enough that Nickelodeon decided to commission a whole series. All Growed Up is an animated television movie and one-hour episode of Rugrats that aired during its 10th season on August 11, 2001 Production began in September 2002. It aired on Nick on CBS on March 14, 2004 and ended on September 9, 2004. Nick Jr on CBS was a programming block on CBS, from September 2002 to September 2004. During summer 2003, teasers for All Grown Up aired. However, the scenes shown were not clips from actual episodes of the show.
When the series premiered its regular run, more than 3. 2 million viewers tuned in (over a third of all kids watching cable in the U. S. ), enough to put it into the 2nd place slot for the week (behind an NFL game on ESPN) and making it the highest-rated premiere in Nick's history at the time.
