Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (漢翔航空工業股份有限公司) is an state owned aerospace company based in Taichung which developed the AIDC Ching-kuo aircraft. AIDC was established in 1969. In 1983, it was transferred to the Chungshan Institute of Science and Technology. The Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (中山科學研究院 is the primary research and development institution of the Ministry of National Defense 's Armaments In 2000, AIDC was divided into four units which are:
