Orsi remained in active management of Maserati until 1968, when the near-bankrupt Maserati was sold to Alejandro de Tomaso and Citroën. Alejandro de Tomaso (born in Buenos Aires, July 10, 1928 - died in Modena, Italy, May 21, 2003) was a Racing Citroën (pronounced See-Troh-Enn is a French Automobile manufacturer, founded in 1919 by André Citroën. His son Omar Orsi also continued to work as part of the management. Omar's son is Adolfo Orsi, Jr. (born 1951), still involved in the operations of Maserati.
