A. actinomycetemcomitans |
Actinobacillus is a genus of gram-negative, immotile and nonspore-forming, oval to rod-shaped bacteria occurring as parasites or pathogens in mammals, birds, and reptiles. [1] It is a member of the Pasteurellaceae family. Pasteurellaceae comprise a large and diverse family of Gram-negative Proteobacteria with members ranging from important pathogens such as Haemophilus influenzae [2] The bacteria are facultatively aerobic, capable of fermenting carbohydrates (without production of gas) and of reducing nitrates. The genomic DNA contains between 40 and 47 mol % guanine plus cytosine.
Actinobacillus (Pasteurella) ureae and A. Pasteurella is a Genus of Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic Bacteria. hominis occur in the respiratory tract of healthy humans and may be involved in the pathogenesis of sinusitis, bronchopneumonia, and meningitis. Sinusitis is an Inflammation of the Paranasal sinuses which may or may not be as a result of infection from Bacterial fungal, viral Bronchopneumonia (also known as lobular pneumonia) is a type of Pneumonia characterized by multiple foci of isolated acute consolidation affecting one or more Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans occurs in the human oral microflora[3], and together with anaerobic or capnophilic organisms may cause endocarditis in the upper alimentary tract. Oral microbiology is the study of the Microorganisms of the oral cavity and the interactions between the oral microorganisms with each other and with the host Actinobacilli are susceptible to most antibiotics of the beta-lactam family, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, and many other antibacterial chemotherapeutics. An aminoglycoside is a molecule composed of a sugar group and an Amino group This article deals with the specific antibiotic called tetracycline Chloramphenicol is a Bacteriostatic Antimicrobial originally derived from the Bacterium Streptomyces venezuelae, isolated by Chemotherapy, in its most general sense refers to treatment of disease by chemicals that kill cells specifically those of micro-organisms or Cancer.
