AFL Queensland (AFLQ) is the governing body of Australian rules football in the state of Queensland. Representative Side

The Queensland Scorpions are the state representative side and include under 16s, under 18s and open age groups and compete at the National State Championships.

The Country Kookaburras represent the regional areas outside of South East Queensland, have under 14's , 16s, under 18s and open age groups and compete at the Australian Country Championships.

Due to the 2005 alignment with AFL PNG, both sides can also include players from Papua New Guinea. AFL PNG is the peak promotional body for the Sport of Australian rules football in Papua New Guinea. Location

The league's offices are currently based at Lions Football Park (also known as Giffin Park), Coorparoo, and this is where most finals matches have been played from 1998. However, the AFLQ State League Grand Final was once again played at the Gabba in 2005, marking the centenary of the first Grand Final played at the ground when City defeated Valley in 1905.
