History

Cars

AEG bought Kühlstein in 1902, founding the division Neue Automobil Gesellschaft (New Automobile Company), to make cars. The Kühlstein Wagenbau in Berlin-Charlottenburg was a Coachbuilding company that produced Electric cars from 1898 to 1902 Neue Automobil-Gesellschaft was an German Automobile manufacturer in Berlin. Railway electrification

In the early 1900s, AEG supplied equipment for the London area electrification of Britain's London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. Daimler AG ( (formerly DaimlerChrysler AG) is a German car corporation (not to be confused with the British car-maker Daimler Motor Company) and In 2005 Electrolux bought the brand name. The Electrolux Group is a Swedish Manufacturer of home and professional appliances Today several former departments of AEG still exist and use the AEG name.

Today AEG's domestic appliance division remains in the hands of The Electrolux Corporation.
