Race

The race itself was quite uneventful. From the starting line everyone got away for the first laps, with Hamilton diving in behind Alonso to defend any of the Ferrari's advances. Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton (born Stevenage, 7 January 1985 Fernando Alonso Díaz (born July 29, 1981 in Oviedo, Spain) is a Spanish Formula One racing driver and a two-time Hamilton started with five laps worth of fuel more than Alonso, but the team called him in two laps after Alonso pitted, changing his strategy from one to two stops, and letting Alonso get the win as Ron Dennis later admitted. Ron Dennis CBE (born June 1, 1947) is the Chairman, CEO and 15% owner of the McLaren Group. [4] After the race, FIA launched an investigation of the McLaren team for giving out team orders. [5] Ecclestone said McLaren "could be excluded from the championship or they could have points deducted". [6] McLaren were later cleared of any wrongdoing by the FIA. [7]

No other car in the field could keep up with the sheer pace of both of the Mclaren-Mercedes, with Massa, after a competitive first stint in third place, dropping to sixty seconds behind Hamilton. Felipe Massa (born in São Paulo April 25, 1981) is a Brazilian Formula One racing driver currently employed by the Ferrari Notably, he was the only car the two McLaren drivers did not lap during the afternoon.

Kimi Räikkönen came back up the field to eighth place to gain one championship point after his poor qualifying performance. Kimi-Matias Räikkönen (ˈkimi ˈmɑtiɑs ˈræikkønen born October 17, 1979 in Espoo) is a Finnish Formula One race car driver currently
